In Historia de Mi Vida Torres-García relates that he and his family spent the summer of 1912 in "un pueblecito llamado Saint Cergues" in a house called "Les Cerisiers." While at Les Cerisiers he prepared the sketches for his first mural at the Saló de St. Jordi.
